Finding Your USP

By diana | November 18, 2008

Many affiliate marketers deem that selling a product that is being offered by thousands- if not multitudes- of their fellow colleagues will make things much more difficult for them.  After all, they will be competing for the same market.  They will be advertising the same goods.  And the requst for the product is never infinite.

This, on the other hand, is the faulty mentality.

Even if you will be competing with 10 million affiliates, you can still manage to be leading.

How?

Let me to demonstrate to you the secret of the best associates on the web currently.  This secret is, plainly, what catapults them to the very summit of the ranking.

It’s termed the USP, a short form for one of the most fundamental arms in promoting: the unique selling proposition.

The unique selling proposition, as you can splendidly  guess, is consisted of three words: 1) unique; 2) selling; and 3) proposition.

The USP should be distinct, signifies, it should be anything that you - and YOU ONLY- will be presenting.  No one else should advance for the same thought.  No one else should bait the people with the same concept.

The final goal of the USP is to sell, to obtain a profit.  Many times, you will have to pay out for the USP.  However, you should make sure that a profitable ROI would be carried out.  Affiliate marketing is a campaign.  You shouldn’t be wasting resources.

The USP is a proposal, an offer, a thing that you will show to your target audience.  Therfore, the USP should be a thing they will deem appealing.  The USP should be something that will be hard for them to decline.

If you will show your affiliate product with a superb USP, persons will choose to buy from you rather than purchasing from other entrepreneurs promoting the same item.

Organizing your personal USP is really a fun course.  All you have to do is to furnish divergence to your offer that your prospective consumer will surely like.  Here are some cases of proven USPs:

-    Putting together the affiliate product with the affiliate’s particular pieces;
-    Offering returns, which will be removed from the fee that the member will be entitled to;
-    Giving out future discounts which can be carried by the payment the associate will be allowed to;

-    Providing association to an special organization that will be allowed some goodies.

Hopefully, the aforementioned cases will stir you to produce with a really stimulating USP.
